TERM 2 UPDATE: My goal this term is to have a calendar that I will update on a daily basis with what we did in class that day. This will include the assignments that students missed. This should allow for students to log on to my website after they miss a class and see exactly what they need to do to make that day up.
There will be some changes this term to the policies in my classroom. These changes are as follows: 1. The new participation grade will be worth 15% of the students grade. Students will earn 5 pts. per day for being on time to class. If a student is absent they will not be able to make up those points. However, students will have opportunities each day to earn extra points by class participation, helping peers or by doing anything Mr. Morris feels is a positive contribution to the class. As long as a student is in class every day and following the rules, they will earn full points for participation. If a student talks out of turn, has their cell phone out, or participates in any other negative behavior, they will lose points for that day. Just to clarify, students do not have to earn points through participation unless they have lost points from either being absent or having negative behavior. 2. All late work will be worth 60% unless the absence is excused. If they have an excused absence, they will have 2 weeks from the assignment due date to turn it in. 3. Students will only have 2 weeks from the test date to turn in test corrections. After that, they will no longer be able to make up a test or do test corrections for a higher score.
COURSE SYLLABUS: I will try and stick as close to this syllabus as possible.
I will be adding assignments along with the accompanying documents needed to complete the assignment. You can also come to my room and pick up missed assignments.
Disclosure Survey: This is found under the Parent/Student Survey tab on the home page of my website.
I will post the group list after every class has had a chance to sign up.
